Graduation

Graduation is the academic completion of your degree.

Graduation occurs upon approval of your completed degree requirements.

Diplomas are mailed up to six weeks following review of your records at the completion of your final term of study (December, January, May, or August).

  • Bachelor's degree graduation preparation (Registrar's Office).
  • Master's degree, graduate certificate, certificate of advanced study (C.A.S.) graduation preparation (Registrar's Office).

Commencement Ceremony

The Commencement Ceremony is the celebration of your graduation with the current graduating class.

Eligibility to participate in commencement each year is determined by the Registrar's Office academic records. Eligible students who apply for their degrees by the posted deadlines will receive an invitation late March to participate.

Buffalo State holds an annual spring commencement. There is no December commencement ceremony.

About Diplomas
