Message from the Director

Congratulations on the exciting milestone of graduation! It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Buffalo State University Alumni Association. It is a diverse and growing community of over 100,000 graduates who are passionate about their alma mater and committed to supporting the institution and one another.

The Alumni Association is here to help you stay connected to Buffalo State University in ways that are meaningful to you. We offer a variety of events and programs throughout the year that provide opportunities for you to reconnect with classmates, network with fellow alumni, and engage with current students and faculty from your program.

Being an active member of the Alumni Association can set you up for career success and supports Buffalo State’s mission: a dedication to excellence in teaching, research, service, scholarship, creative activity, and cultural enrichment. Membership is free and participation is open to all Buffalo State University alumni. All alumni receive benefits such as access to career resources, invitations to special events, and opportunities to give back.

Giving back to the campus community is an important part of being an alumnus, whether it’s donating to support scholarships or mentoring a current student. I encourage you to consider meaningful ways you can continue to live Buffalo State’s mission. Volunteer on campus, speak to current students from your department, attend a regional event to welcome alumni newcomers to your area, or host an intern from Buffalo State at your new job… there are many ways to stay involved.

We are proud of our graduates and the impact they have on the world. Keep us up to date with your professional and personal achievements by submitting Class Notes to be featured in our alumni magazine, 1300 Elmwood, tagging us in your social media posts, or visiting the Office of Alumni Engagement in the Jacqueline Vito LoRusso Alumni and Visitor Center next time you are on campus.

We look forward to staying connected with you and supporting your continued success!

Best regards,

Katelyn Brickhouse
