Rachel M. Nati, who earned her master’s degree while working as a substitute teacher in local school districts, has conducted and presented research on global literacy. As a graduate assistant for the Professional Development Schools (PDS) Consortium, she worked closely with program co-directors to design, manage, implement, and assess events that connect Buffalo State to more than 100 partner schools across the world. She also mentored undergraduate PDS student representatives, helping them prepare for research project presentations at national conferences. In addition, she created the Future Teachers Club and recruited more than 70 teacher-candidate members who enjoy education-related activities.
